What is the difference between this:
Anti-angiogenic and anti-inflammatory molecules have huge commercial value in the pharmaceutical industry. We have identified novel sources of such molecules in microalgae and are identifying their structure and mechanism of action. These molecules may be useful in the treatment of a host of diseases, from cancer and diabetes to psoriasis and pain relief. Our company and its consortium partners seek to outsource the pre-clinical research on these molecules and extracts to identify the most attractive and feasible markets, along with appropriate drug development strategies, for commercializing its microalgae extracts.
And this:
We have discovered potent anti-inflammatory extracts and molecules with pharmaceutical potential from the vast, untapped natural resource of microalgae. Human diseases that are known to benefit from anti-inflammatory therapy include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The goal of this project is to obtain convincing research data that justifies the entry of these microalgae products into drug development programmes for creating better therapies for these diseases.
Learning to read means understanding how other readers perceive your written words. What message do they get?
Learning to write means translating your ideas into worded messages that strike a chord with your audience.
Normally, when I work with a client (in “Keep it simple”), I edit their key documents through constructive (and destructive) criticism. I give over clues and tools for the client to become a master of their own writing, enabling them to do most of the work themselves (and enjoy it as well!).
In the more intensive format of “Learning to read and write”, I sit one-on-one with the client and train them in the art.
In case you want to know what I think of my own writing (for a closer look, download and print the PDF):
